Gilded Wings

Gilded Wings is one in a series of wing sculptures showing the miraculous energy and life literally erupting and taking off from a heavy and undefined base.  The wings are made from unusual fabrics and are heavily machine embroidered and quilted.  They are supported by wire armatures that sprout up from the welded steel base.
