Cornstalk Cross

This Cornstalk Cross is one of a series of crosses I created during Lent using a variety of found materials.  Each sculpture explored the material to convey a different depth of meaning for the cross symbol.  Every material I used, including cornstalks, conveys the spiritual mystery of strength and weakness/fragility at the same time and in one object.
