Get Out Your Calendars and Pencils!

My work titled “Corn Rows” was awarded 3rd Place in the 2018 Agriculture Art Exhibition in the State Historical Museum of Iowa. Here is the link to the press release about the winners. https://iowaculture.gov/about-us/news-and-media/press-releases/agriculture-art-exhibition-winners-announced

The exhibition is on the 3rd Floor in Café Barattas, which is a great place for lunch The museum is at 600 East Locust, Des Moines. The café is open Monday – Saturday from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. You can park on the street using meters or park for free in the garage Capitol Complex Parking that you can access from Grand or Des Moines Ave. You can enter the museum from Grand also. My art is there through October 30.

Put November 16-17 on your calendars as well. That is when I will open my garage for my 3rd Garage Art Sale which will show a range of little and big ticket items.  I have invited fiber artist Becky Kemble to join me in displaying works for sale as well. This is a link to her website, http://rebeccakemble.com/

Friday the Garage will be open from 3-6 PM and Saturday the Garage will be open from 9 till 12 noon. Every penny goes to a worthy cause – “To fund the next great art!” We are looking forward to seeing you rain or shine.  (Sorry, to even speak that four-letter-word but I had to.)
