This is a picture of my desk which is not my favorite spot to be but since working here has netted me two exhibition opportunities I am starting to warm up to this little spot!

The 2018 Agriculture Art Exhibition will be on display from August 1 – October 30, 2018 in the State Historical Museum of Iowa on the 3rd Floor in Café Barattas, 600 East Locust, Des Moines. The café is open Monday – Saturday from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. For more information, please go to www.iowaculture.gov. Opening details and show info are not posted as of today but they will be soon.

I am a Local Semi-Finalist with two quilts in the 2018 AQS QuiltWeek® Contest in the Fall Paducah, Kentucky Show, September 12 – 15, 2018. Both IRIS AND MARIGOLD TALK OUTLOUD and IRIS AND MARIGOLD-HUSHED VOICES along with 300 others will be on display in this 2nd Annual contest. Three quilting authorities will judge awarding first-, second-, and third-place prizes in 15 categories, along with Judges’ Recognition. Seven overall awards will be decided by public vote from among the fifteen 1st Place quilts. Cash awards totaling $121,250 will be granted.
